I’m on a book review kick everyone! Today’s review is for “Door Within a Door”, written by Angie and Matt Halama, and illustrated by Niki Stage. This irresistible child’s book takes you on a magical journey when a little girl with bright blue eyes and golden blond hair finds a magic door within her own bedroom door. She opens the door to discover all kinds of adventures. Niki Stage does an amazing job bringing this magical tale to life with her incredible illustrations.
This book is a must have for little ones who believe in magic, and the concept that anything is possible. It also teaches children to be brave, and to open that door of possibility with a curious mind. This book hit home for me, because I also have a daughter with bright blue eyes and (moderately) golden hair. I want her to be adventurous like this child in the book, who is based on Matt and Angie’s own little girl, Ellianna. I want her to always believe in magic, and the possibility of wonder and enchantment in all things.
The little girl in the book can also teach adults a lesson as well: to never stop believing in what another door of opportunity might hold for us all. Is it a new job opportunity, but you’re scared to take the leap? Is it the possibility of going back to school, but it sounds really frightening to you? Have faith that there could be magic awaiting you on the other side of whatever that door is, that you see in front of you and your dreams. Never give up on the possibility that something truly amazing is waiting for you on the other side! And remember–open that door within a door!
You and your little one will really enjoy this book, which can be found for sale on Amazon the end of this week!
