My husband is a true outdoorsman (but also a working professional). We spend a lot of our weekends in Wisconsin at our cabin, and he’s always outside chopping trees, bird hunting during the grouse season, or taking the dogs on long nature walks in the woods. I decided to put this Rugged Man’s Gift Guide together because he has all of these items, love them and uses each one almost daily. So…what’s the point, if I’m not planning on getting him any of these things?! Well, I thought they might come in handy to you, if you’re looking to add some professional flare to the rugged guy in your life, or if you want to buy him something that has a LONG life value.
You’ll notice a lot of Filson items on this list…that’s because literally 75% of my husband’s closet is Filson. Yes, the price tag is a bit higher, but many of their pieces are made in the USA, and their customer service is AMAZING. If something happens to your item at any point it its life, Filson will replace it. Just because. Their products are made to last, and if for some reason they don’t, they make it better.
So…a little about these items:
- The belt is amazing quality leather. You can also have his initials stamped into it–I did this as a gift last year!
- The shooting jacket has pockets for shells, if your husband is into shooting, but not every guy is into that! The pockets are super versatile, and this look is super outdoorsy and classic
- These shoes have just enough “I’m a classy dude” with the right amount of “but I like to keep it manly”
- This watch is simple, but has a great look and goes with everything!
- The plaid flannel Filson shirts are a favorite here! The look great paired with khakis or jeans!
- My husband uses this briefcase every day for work. He also got me one, and I love it! It’s super practical and holds a ton of stuff. It has a wonderful, rugged yet classy look to it.
