[disclosure]
It has been amazing to me how many wipes we go through having a little baby! We’re going through even more wipes now that Little Bear is growing up and eating baby food. We went from using wipes almost only for cute baby butts, to now using them for everything! Wiping faces, wiping high chairs, wiping toys…you name it, we’re wiping it.
I think wipes are one of those products like diapers, that you just have to try out in order to see if you like them. Buy one pack, check it out, and if you like it, stock up so you don’t ever run out!
When shopping or testing wipes, here’s my criteria:
- It has to have all natural ingredients. NO harmful chemicals!
- It has to feel nice. If I wouldn’t wipe my booty with it, I’m not wiping my baby’s booty with it!
- It has to be strong, and come out of the packaging nicely. I know this sounds ridiculous, but there’s nothing I can’t stand more than when a wipe won’t come out of the pack, brings a friend or two along with it (and then all of a sudden I have a clump of 3 wipes…!!), or if it breaks, and there I am with a blowout and a little triangle scrappin’ of wipe. What am I supposed to do with that?!
I had the opportunity to test out the Happy Little Camper baby wipes, which are hypoallergenic and made from pure non-GMO cotton. I was pretty impressed, so I’m sharing this review with you–and Happy Little Camper is giving away a sample pack to a lucky winner for this week’s giveaway (see the end of the post for details)!
Here are some of the features of Happy Little Camper wipes:
- Hypoallergenic
- Dermatologically tested
- Formulated for sensitive skin
- Non-toxic
- Chlorine free
- No perfumes, dyes, pesticides or optical brighteners
- They’re made with organic aloe
- There’s a flushable/septic safe line
- They come in a smaller travel pack
Clearly, Happy Little Camper matches up perfectly with my #1 criteria. But what about #2 and #3? My first reaction on opening the sample pack was that the wipes are super thick. They’re not overly wet, but definitely not dry. They’re just a thick, moderately moist clean-it-all-up wipe. They’re very strong, which I was impressed with. You won’t accidentally pull off a little section of this wipe–it’s pretty solid! I haven’t used my whole pack yet, but I have yet to get the dreaded wipe-clump, which makes me really happy.
My favorite thing about these wipes is that I feel like I can wipe bums, faces and hands with it (not the same wipe obviously!). The reason I mention hands and face is that sometimes I just don’t know about using some of the bigger brand wipes on faces. We’re obviously not eating wipes over here, but I’m still pretty protective of what goes on or near her face and hands.
If you’re looking for an all natural brand of wipes created specifically for the safety of your baby, try out Happy Little Camper! You can purchase from their website, find a store near you, or check them out on Amazon.
