Making bath time fun is so easy; there are tons of fun toys that kids can take into the tub with them and play with. The harder part is finding practical (and functional!) toys for your kidsβ bath time! Our tub is always filled with about 25 different toys (see the below pics for proof: squeaky bath toys, a bathtime Sophie giraffe, a toy net, a hippo spout cover that she pulls off and plays with, foam lettersβ¦you name it, itβs in there. Except for bath crayons. Weβre not that far along yet!)
I was super excited to try out this SoapSox Minnie Mouse; had wanted to try out a SoapSox animal for a while because they sounded so fun and cute!
The concept is super awesome. Fun toy + functional soap dispenser/wash cloth = awesomeness for bath time!
All you do is pour your soap into the hole in the back of the toy, and scrunch the animal around a little bit to circulate that soap.
Next, put your fingers in the SoapSox animalβs arm holes, and use it as a washcloth to wash your child.
After testing this out, I think that the best way to do it is to wash your child from the side that the soap goes into. It takes a little while and a decent amount of soap to circulate through the whole toy, so use the same side that you put the soap intoβ¦or, put the soap on whatever side of the animal youβd like, and then wash from there.
The SoapSox animal selections are the absolute cutestβI would buy a bunch of these just to have a different one for my daughter to play with! These guys are awesome for washing a baby who doesnβt want to take a bath, but can be easily distracted with a toy. If your child is scared of the tub, these toys would also be a great item to get them used to outside of the tub, and then let them take into the tub with them. The fact that it functions as a washcloth is a huge bonus, at least for me, because my daughter can play with this toy before and after I wash her with it!
You can find SoapSox at soapsoxkids.com, Amazon, or in stores (Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby, etc).

We have two dogs that my daughter LOVES, so her favorite bath toy are these little puppies that have dirt on them. The dirt disappears when you ‘wash’ them with warm water. She cries every night when she has to leave the puppies in the bath tub and say bye bye to them π
Meredith says
OMG that sounds so adorable!!!!!!!
