Before anyone flies off the handle, let me preface this post by saying that everyone is different (duh). There are so many factors in how quickly someone gets pregnant, if they can get pregnant, etc., that no one blog post can TRULY be the end-all-be-all of “how to get pregnant faster”. So while these tips may not work for everyone, they worked for me, so I’m sharing, in case they might help someone else.

We got pregnant with our daughter in three months, and I had been on birth control (Junel BCP) prior to us trying. Here’s what I did:
- Ate relatively healthy, and drank lots of water. LOTS of water.
- Used Pre-Seed
- Used Ovulation sticks (turns out my app was WRONG about when I was supposed to be ovulating!!!)
- Tracked everything in my favorite app (WomanLog Pro). Even though I kind of disregard the “estimated ovulation times” because they’re not always accurate, I still like logging everything. And if nothing else, it reminds me when I’m supposed to have a period. Because I don’t know how else I’d remember just off the top of my head!!!!
- Started taking prenatal vitamins for a few months before we started trying. Actually funny story…I kept reading how Geritol was a baby-making-miracle, and so I bought some of that (liquid version). Didn’t do anything. Turns out that Geritol myth was debunked! Apparently it was started more than a few decades ago before prenatal pills were a big thing. Geritol is basically just a multi-vitamin, but because women weren’t really taking them and then suddenly went on Geritol and got pregnant, it was because their bodies were getting all kinds of vitamins and minerals, not because it has some baby-making power! Anyway, save yourself the money because it seriously tastes like SHT. I’m still trying to pawn off bottles of nasty Geritol to poor unsuspecting friends…just kidding! But not really…sorry mom! Thanks for leaving yours here as your vitamin of choice when you come to visit! lol!
It seems like a lot of work to pee on sticks to help the process, but it worked for us! Now that we’re considering trying for baby #2, I will approach the process the same exact way, but I’ve also found something else that I’m going to try out to help us: PregPrep. PregPrep is a company that makes several products that claim to help women get pregnant faster. Their products are formulated to help thin cervical mucus, help transport sperm, etc. They sent me a few products to try out (thanks PregPrep!!), and I’ve just started using them. These products are doctor-formulated, which was super important to me (no way I’m putting something not doctor-approved in my body).
PregPrep Products
Here’s what they offer. This information is directly from PregPrep’s website.
*Note–they literally just updated their formulation to FertilPrep to include a new product that you take daily, not just for 10 days after day 5 of your cycle. That can get confusing! So it’s nice that they’ve updated this one a bit.
Other Products:
PregPrep also makes an Essential Balance Oil and Nausea Relief. I haven’t tried these, but if we do get pregnant again, I think I’m going to NEED the nausea relief. I remember being SO NAUSEAS up until 15 weeks with my first pregnancy!!!
My experience:
The VitaPrep dissolves quickly, and has a candy-like taste to it. It’s a bit chalky, but doesn’t taste bad at all. The FertilPrep isn’t hard to take, but it was hard for me to know WHEN to take it this past month. My body was kind of screwed up after being on another BCP after having my daughter (I don’t even know what brand it is…I know it’s not Junel, which is what I had last time, but it’s something a little stronger). Next month should be easier!
So far, I am not pregnant yet, and I would kind of assume it might take a little longer than the first time we tried (because I mean, hello, we didn’t have a little one to take care of that first time!!).
Where to Buy:
PregPrep is sold on their own site, at CVS, Rite Aid, and on Amazon!

Great advice, I’ll definitely keep in mind as I try for #2
Thank you so much!!
We used a lot of the same tactics mentioned here (plus a few others because I’m OCD like that), and were lucky enough to get pregnant the first month trying every time… This product sounds really promising and I’m keeping it in mind in case we decide to try for one more!
That is SO awesome!! One of my best friends–same thing!! Any other tips?!
It took us over a year to get pregnant with my daughter. We used an app too and that really helped!
