I love making little kits to keep in my diaper bag or car, and first aid kits are one of my favorites! Here’s how I’ve made my own, but if you want to buy one already made that’s adorable, keep scrolling for my review on the Owie Kit!
Here’s how I’ve made my first aid kits:
Step One: Find a container to put all of your items! You can use something simple like a ziploc bag, or find a cute cosmetic case that you can put things into!
Step Two: Add all of your kid items: bandaids of different sizes (for different boo-boos!), diaper rash cream, neosporin, wipes, calamine lotion, aloe vera gel, hand sanitizer, baby Tylenol, etc.
Step Three: Add items for you! Don’t forget your own Tylenol, any medications, Motrin, Excedrin, Immodium, Tums, extra tampons or pads, chapstick, hair ties, etc. If you think you might need it, pack it just in case!
Step Four: Don’t forget rewards!! Add some cute stickers, gummies, lollipops, or a cute little toy pack to help with boo-boo bravery!
Step Five: Put your kit wherever you’d like, that you’ll remember it. Car, diaper bag, purse, first aid drawer at home…wherever you need it!
Don’t forget: Add any pertinent medical information like allergy or medical conditions. Include a phone number or address in case it gets lost.
It’s super easy to make your own kit, but if you want to buy a pre-made one, this adorable little Owie kit is the cutest!!! It comes with 50 different items already packed into the kit–no need to even guess what to put in there, and there’s more than enough room to put some extras inside!

This is a great idea! We are a pretty clumsy family, so we need as many first aid kits around as possible! That Owie kit looks adorable! I think my daughter would just love the little character on it!

That’s us too!
What a great idea. You have no idea how clumsy my son is. Since he was one he has been fallen and bumped his head. Now that he’s on the edge of four he’s running up to me for the smallest things haha.
Aww lil guy!! I have a feeling that will be my daughter too!
That is such a cute first aid kit! And these are great tips! I’ve only put kids stuff in our first aid kit that we bring whenever we travel. I totally forgot about ours too! Lol

What a great post! When lugging around diaper bags all day it’s easy to forget to bring first aid items sometimes! This is a great guide 🙂

Thanks Kari!!
Okay that is the cutest first aid kit EVER! I am all about a good first aid kit, being a nurse and former first aid, CPR + BLS instructor I always encourage parents to keep one fully stocked in their cars and home.

This is awesome! I have to get on this! They always get hurt when I have nothing with me! Thanks for the reminder!
So cute isn’t it?! 😀
